Hundreds of Citizens Invest in Sokol Blosser’s Independent Leadership
One month after officially kicking off her campaign for State Representative at her family’s winery in Dayton, Susan Sokol Blosser has reached an important milestone. Today, her campaign broke the $100,000 threshold in cash contributions.
Hundreds of citizens from all walks of life declared their independence from politics as usual and invested in Susan Sokol Blosser’s moderate leadership and common sense ideas for Oregon. Over 90% of Sokol Blosser’s 333 contributors are individuals— as opposed to large corporations and political action committees that provide the bulk of funding for many candidates.
“It’s really humbling to have such a broad range of support from hundreds of good people who care about a better future for Oregon,” said Susan Sokol Blosser. “I know times are tough and I deeply appreciate that my friends, neighbors and business colleagues are digging deep to invest in moderate leadership deeply rooted in Yamhill County.”
“My neighbors are telling me they want new solutions and balanced judgment in Salem. It’s an honor to have such strong bipartisan support in this campaign with donations from my Republican friends and my Democratic friends, along with many others who want a fresh approach to the economic challenges Oregon faces.”
Sokol Blosser said it was especially gratifying to reach this major campaign threshold on Independence Day weekend.
“I believe we can only solve our problems if we elect leaders who are independent enough to put partisan politics aside and make tough choices for the future of our Oregon. We need to change the way our state is doing business and reinvent our economy. It will take independent leadership and good ideas from both sides of the aisle to get that done. I’m excited to help lead the way.”
