Republican grip on East County in Jeopardy
The Gresham Outlook reported on the change in voter registration out in Portland's East County. From the article:
Every single house legislative district in East County - districts 49, 50 and 52 - has seen a significant rise in registered Democrats since the beginning of primary season, and a drop in registered Republicans...
...Nonetheless, some Republican candidates are concerned about the gains.

And Republicans should be concerned since the 2006 General Election several House Districts have seen major gains in the number of registered Democrats. HD 49 has gained nearly 1000 registered Democrats, HD 50 has gained over 1250 registered Democrats while the number of registered Republicans remained rather constant in that district, and HD 52, has gained over 1000 registered Democrats.
